Holy smokes! In titillating soul music news, Adrian Gibson Music Productions (AGMP) are bringing a multivenue festival to London this summer. Running from 3rd – 14th July 2018, the Innervisions Festival boasts a star-studded line-up of soul music greats. This looks to be a special event not to be missed! Have a read below about some of the artists we’re most looking forward to seeing!

Mavis Staples

The 78 year-old gospel music legend originally of Staple Singers fame continues to enthral audiences. Last year she released a politically-charged album, If All I Was Was Black, which proved that her gravelly vocals are still in superb shape.

Lalah Hathaway

Daughter of (arguably) the finest male soul vocalist of all time, Donny Hathaway, Lalah gifts audiences with her buttery contralto and magnetic stage presence.

Meshell Ndegeocello

A prolific bassist, singer, and producer, Meshell Ndegeocello broke onto the scene with her debut release Plantation Lullabies (1993) – which included blistering attacks on patriarchy and white supremacy. Earlier this year she released her twelfth studio album, Ventriloquism, featuring stellar reinterpretations of 1980s/90s R&B hits.

Angie Stone

Beginning her career as a rapper within hip-hop trio The Sequence, Angie Stone sang backing vocals for the likes of Lenny Kravitz and D’Angelo before fashioning a solo career. With a thick husk of a voice, Stone has a fine repertoire under her belt.
