Four powerhouse vocalists. A songbook from the greatest vocalist of all time. A world-esteemed gospel choir and orchestra. This is truly the event of my deepest, darkest, and dirtiest soul music fantasies.
In late March, a live concert celebrating the late Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin is coming to three cities in the UK: Birmingham (23rd), Edinburgh (24th), and London (25th).
It is with pleasure that The House That Soul Built will be attending the final show of this run at the Eventim Apollo in West London. The line-up is comprised of glorious voices. After an Olivier Award-winning run in Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre, Amber Riley is returning to London to pay homage to The Queen. She is joined by British soul-house performer Jaki Graham, R&B/soul singer and theatre performer Cleopatra Higgins, and the magnificent Mica Paris – one of Britain’s finest voices.
They will be accompanied by the London Community Gospel Choir (LCGC), founded by Bazil Meade, as well as the Urban Soul Orchestra.
