Fiery-voiced soul singer Alice Russell will be performing this coming January at ‘In The Round’. Now in its fifth year, ‘In The Round’ is the annual series of intimate, seated music events at The Roundhouse, Camden.

Inspired by the vocals of Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, and Chaka Khan, Russell has collaborated with the likes of David Byrne, DJ Yoda, Fatboy Slim, and Mr Scruff. Earlier this year, she performed with New York afrobeats ensemble Antibalas at the Barbican, honouring the Queen of Soul with her raspy vocals. Check out her Tiny Desk concert embedded below.

Russell will be performing new material from an upcoming album, as well as her previous releases with Tru Thoughts – the acclaimed Brighton-based independent label.
