Reuben James - Means the World

Reuben James will be unveiling a new album this summer, released on his own record label Rufio Records. The pianist, vocalist and songwriter says: “Champagne Kisses is an album for people who love songwriting, harmony and groove. It’s essentially a classic RnB/soul album that I’ve put my own fresh spin on. The sweet jazz voicings, sophisticated harmony and hard-hitting rhythms pay homage to my jazz upbringing, and, as always, I’ve pulled in some of the best musicians and artists in the world to ensure the record is as beautiful and eargasmic as possible!”

‘Means the World’ is Champagne Kisses’ lead single, featuring Cartoons (drums, bass, co-producer), Braxton Cook (alto saxophone), and Gareth Lockrane (flute). Well-timed for the recent uptick in British weather, ‘Means the World’ is a bright, jazz-inflected number with a puppy love refrain.
