Marie Naffah – Honey & Air (Review)

London-based singer-songwriter Marie Naffah, a former winner of MTV’s ‘Unsigned Artist of the Year’, unveils her conceptual double-single EP Honey & Air. Here, Naffah offers the same song recorded in contrasting styles. The first, ‘Honey’, is a airy pop-soul tune paired with an escapist lyric.

She offers an acoustic reading in second track ‘Air’ which adds an air of introspection to the performance, perhaps imbued with a latent melancholy. In both interpretations, Naffah’s thick, rich voice is the perfect vehicle.
