Instead it is an enigmatic blend of jazz, soul, and hip-hop, driven by a distinct vocal reminiscent of Billie Holiday and Macy Gray. Rocky – a Canadian singer, poet, and burlesque performer of Cameroonian descent – has been building her reputation within Seoul’s live music scene. ‘How Will I Know’ is the first single of her upcoming EP due for release in 2020.

Rocky sings about circumventing toxic relationships plagued with self-doubt. She says: ‘Love and connection are an integral part of the human experience, and we mainly learn about it through trial and error.
