Tarion – ‘For Real, For Real’ (Review)

We’ve been enjoying some sweet soulful throwbacks recently at The House That Soul Built, with releases from Bastards of Soul, Brian Scartocci, and Thee Sacred Souls harking back to the tropes and conventions of 1960s soul.

Houston-based soul/R&B singer Tarion offers us something more reminiscent of 80s funk with his latest release ‘For Real, For Real’. He says:

‘”For Real, For Real” is the first song off my project that will drop weekly for the next few months! It is a mix of classic funk and old school soul, with pop and R&B sensibilities of today. The song details a modern day romance navigating millennial dating culture.”

Clocking in around the two minute mark, Tarion serves up some smooth falsetto vocals poured over some greasy synths and guitar. A nice little taster, with hopefully more material to come.
