Butterfly Ali – ‘Five Minutes’ (Review)

Titus Makin aka Butterfly Ali has starred in TV shows such as Pretty Little Liars, The Rookie, and Glee. Over the past year, the Los Angeles-based creative has made forays into the music scene, collaborating with the likes of David Hodges (Evanescence, Christina Perri, Kelly Clarkson) and Sam Barsh (Kendrick Lamar, Logic, Anderson .Paak, Aloe Blacc).

His latest single ‘5 Minutes’ is a funky workout, launched with a sticky piano motif and propelled by good measure of bass.

He says: “5 Minutes feels to me like the song we all need to just jam out to after a hard day of work and struggles. It’s that let your hair down and get funky kind of song. It identifies with all the times we as humans have to keep a tight rein on our tongue and have a little patience with all this crazy world presents. I got five minutes then I’m moving on… not gonna let you stress me out.”
