The House That Soul BuiltĀ first came across Berklee College of Music student Cindy Latin when she released her Alanis-Morisette-meets-jazz song ‘Get Gone‘. Exploring the intersection between big band, soul, and funk, her latest single ‘I Don’t Know What’s Worse’ is about “putting yourself first and picking what might hurt short term, but what will be the best decision in the long-term.” Marrying an 18-strong big band with her conversational, at times theatrical, delivery, Latin is humourous, witty, and biting.
