Wyn Starks + Andreas Moss – ‘Tomorrow’ (Review)

Following his breakout single ‘Circles’, Minneapolis-raised singer-songwriter Wyn Starks returns with the inescapably optimistic ‘Tomorrow’. Consistent with his previous output, Starks marries the soar and spirit of gospel music with a radio-friendly pop sensibility.

The song is about not staying stuck no matter how bad it looks today or in this moment,” Starks explains. “You are always looking for better. And that’s what “Tomorrow” represents. Not staying in that bad place. It’s okay to hurt, to feel emotions, but we can’t allow it to keep us in a space where we are stagnant and not able to move forward.”

He is joined on ‘Tomorrow’ by co-writer Andreas Moss who offers guest vocals. Though the song progresses as expected – with a thuddingly expected (but nonetheless effective) climax – there is enough passion in the vocals to temper the schmaltz. From the first listen, the hook stays with you. One to watch.
