Mica Millar has attracted some much deserved buzz with her throaty-voiced ‘blue-eyed soul’. Her command of the wistful ballad is underscored by ‘Will I See You Again’, a bluesy soul number that evokes the material of Etta James and Dorothy Moore. Vocally, Millar comes in strong but allows the nuances and feathery textures of her instrument to shine – particularly when she reaches the chorus.
