J-Summa - Haaven & Home

Jamaican singer-songwriter J-Summa flexes a mightily soulful voice on debut single “Heaven and Home”. Beginning in an agile, Al Green-ish falsetto before descending into a grainy, weathered chest voice, J-Summa belts his way through this richly romantic ballad. Some may fault the song for the platitudes in the lyrics (“you’re everything to me / you’re the light when I can’t see“) and/or the anachronistic ’80s guitar solo, but the conviction of his delivery cannot be faulted.

J-Summa says: “Heaven and Home’ is the unique, delicate yet beautiful balance between yourself and your loved one. It’s easy to have a house but not a home. It’s easy to be with someone but not have peace of mind. This song represents true love and companionship – this person is your heaven and your home. I hope this song can connect with the hearts and souls of listeners worldwide.
