You know the drill. The BBC Proms are a primarily classical concert series, but there are always a few choice shows for fans of soul, jazz, and blues. Here are our top picks for this season!

Prom 2: Everybody Dance! The Sound of Disco (tickets)

The BBC Concert Orchestra will be honouring giants like Gloria Gaynor, Chic, and Diana Ross with a proms dedicated to the music of Disco. More information on this prom is to be announced. 

Prom 13: Sarah Vaughan – If You Could See Me Now (tickets)

This prom celebrates the centenary of jazz icon Sarah Vaughan‘s birth. Guy Barker and the BBC Concert Orchestra will back vocalists CHERISE, Lucy-Anne Daniels, Lizz Wright, and Marisha Wallace for a night of the some of the most sumptuous, timeless jazz classics.

Prom 18: Sam Smith (tickets)

Sam Smith’s debut album In the Lonely Hour give them a huge profile as a blue-eyed soul balladeer.  Smith will celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the album with a reimagined, orchestral performance at the BBC Proms.
